I believe that Che Guevara was a villain. In the article,on the first page, it says, "Che... who presided over executions and helped lead Cuba down a ruinous economic and social path." A villain destroys and hurts just like Che. Also on the second page of the ny times, it says, "...Che had a role in more than 200 executions." he was a bad person, which proves that he was a villain.

Che Guevara was a guy who started out wanting to do the right thins, and help make people's lives better, but he changed. When he was on the motorcyle trip with his friend, he saw people suffering in poverty, and he wanted to do something to change that. But once Castro got into power, Guevara began to make decisions that ruined Cuba financially and ended many people's lives.

I think that che was a villain only noticed as a hero because he was a martyr, but he is not commonly recognized for his actions during his life. In our first article it said that, "che was said to have a role in over 200 executions." also, the article said that he shot an teenager for standing up against his "fathers" execution.
Che was a villain hunted down for his actions, but misunderstood by a later generation. He is just as bad as Castro, but I don't see a bunch of patriotic Castro tshirts going around. Che was not a hero, but a radical martyr.
Che was not a hero. He was a villain to the U.S. and Cuba. He just helped Castro make the country worse. Many historians say, "Che was a revolutionary zealot who presided over executions and helped lead Cuba down a ruinous economic and social path." Students today, make pledges to be like him every morning at school, not even knowing that he could've killed many of their ancestors. Che had a role in more than 200 executions. He spent more time killing people than worrying about the economic failure of Cuba.

Che was nothing but a villain. He thought that he was freeing people, however he merely transitioned them from one regime to another. He got rid of the general, only to allow communist Russia to lay claim to Cuba. He personally committed over 200 executions, and even killed an innocent teen because he objected. Che has been idolized as a hero and is a large part of pop culture today. we see him everywhere; much to the dismay of the Cuban immigrants who have witnessed Castro's oppression firsthand. They know the man we have set on a pedestal is not the real man at all. Che the man and Che the legend are two very different people.
many people thought that he was a villan. others thought he was a hero. what do i think? i think that like all villans che believed that he was doing something right. he believed he was but he truthfull wasnt.
