The US embargo on Cuba should end. America is at an industrial age, where we need to trade with a variety of countries. For example, in the document, it says, "From an economic point of view, trade with Cuba would make Americans hundreds of millions of dollars—and create U.S. jobs." This shows that if we were allowed to make trades with Cuba, we would invest in a lot of money. Also, Castro's rule there is like a dictatorship, and we could help the Cubans get rights. In the document, it says, "But more importantly, stronger American connections with Cuba will give us the chance to encourage democracy and improve human rights there." This means that if we end this Embargo on Cuba, we could help the Cubans recieve human rights, and probably end this dictatorship. We could help stop Castro's reign of terror very easily, and we need to take some action. So, we should end this embargo and help out innocent Cubans and build a sturdy realtionship with them.

The United States should stop the embargo with Cuba. There are some loose ends in the embargo. For example, in video Dan Rather Reports he says, "When you travel to Cuba, you still see American made products in super markets for example". I don't think that the embargo is working, so they should get rid of it all together. The evidince shown above is a prime example of how people aviod the laws that are passed by the government in order to get the best quality products in world delivered to them even though they are legally not supposed to. In conclusion the embargo with Cuba needs to be no more.
I believe the U.S. embargo on Cuba should end. In the NY times article, upfront, it says, "U.S. businesses stand to gain financially from expanded trade with Cuba." This shows that if we open up to Cuba we could make a huge profit from the end of the embargo. Also in that same article, it says, "While America sits on the sidelines, countries like Canada, Spain, China, and Venezuela are trading with Cuba, so they are more likely to influence economic decisions and even social policy as Fidel Castro's regime fades away." If we become friends with them we may be able, after years of friendship, to persuade Cuba to change their ways. The enbargo on Cuba is very important becauseif it ends it will open up a new passage for the U.S., and if it does not then it will keep a hatred from the U.S. to Cuba.

The US should end its embargo on Cuba. By ending it, many many more American jobs will be available and we will get some extra money flowing in the US. Cuba would also have many more resources and technology available to them. Many more medical discoveries have already been made there - and many more will be able to be made with American technology. It helpes everyone. The embargo should absolutly be lifted.
I think the U.S.'s embargo with Cuba should end. Ending this would bring so much good to us. It says here, "trade with Cuba would make Americans hundreds of millions of dollars." Would that not be a good thing? It would reduce our debt because we could pay it off, and it just might bring our economy back up. We could try and stand our ground and support them.It says, "The U.S. needs to ensure its role by discarding outdated ideas that don't work and engaging in trade." We have to think of Cuba in a new light. It may not make sense right now, but it will if we continue and succeed.
We should end the embargo on cuba. The embargo is like a blockade for trade on american buissness. In fact "trade with cuba would make Americans hundreds of million dollars and create U.S. jobs".In the state we are in now we can use cuba to make more money for ourselves. Also this is a very old grudg thaat we are holding and i don't believe it is worth it. We should be able to leave our past behind and maybe that will help with their government problem as we see it. In fact "showing cubans that we will welcome them into the community of free nations is the best way to encourage our island neighbor to move in that direction." This is also a good way to help influence their government through our actions. This will show thaem how much we will except them even if they are different.- kyle
The U.S embargo on cuba should end as soon as possible. The U.S citizens are having part of their freedoms taken away because of this embargo. We are not allowed to take a plane to Cuba from the United States. Also, as it says in the article, if we lift the embargo we will be able to trade with Cuba, which can create jobs here in America, and help the economy. This embargo has been going on for 40 years, and Cuba is still a communist state. We may have a better chance of influencing them to become a democracy if we lift the embargo and become a trade partner and potential ally

The embargo that the U.S. has against Cuba should be eliminated. The embargo consistent of the U.S. not being able to trade or travel to this country. They claim that this has to do with the type of government that this country has. According to article 1, we claim that the only reason why we have this embargo against Cuba is as a result of trying to get them to change their type of government. By hindering us to associate with this country, we are missing out on good resources. We could help create new jobs and gain money from exporting goods. When in actuality there is a bias to it as it seems that we have something against the government leader. How is it that we that the immigrants from that country are allowed to enter our country but we can’t enter theirs? It should go both ways and not just one way. We cannot just force people to change their government just because we don’t like it. It doesn’t work that. As for what I see it makes no sense at all seeing as how there are loopholes.

I think that the embargo on Cuba should continue because if it does not than tourist will go over there and spend money over in and not in American. Plus some food companies in American have special deals with Cuba and are allowed to trade and sell food products to them.
The U.S. embargo on Cuba should end. It's just not fair to the other Cubans who never did wrong. They weren't followers of Castro, and never will be. It's like we're punishing them for something they didn't do. Cuban-Americans have a right to visit their families as they please. The embargo stops all of this for them. It's like giving them no choice but to sneak there and break the law. The U.S. wants the best for Cuba. Why don't we actually give them a chance to prove themselves? Senator Max Baucus says, "The U.S. wants Cuba to leave its Communist past behind. Showing Cubans that we will welcome them into the community of free nations is the best way to encourage our island neighbor to move in that direction." Not only will ending the embargo help Cuba; it will also benefit the U.S. We are one of the only people that don't trade with Cuba. It says, "From an economic point of view, trade with Cuba would make Americans hundreds of millions of dollars-and create U.S. jobs. Us just beating around the bush isn't helping us. The faster we change things, the better it'll turn out for both countries.

The Cuban government and American government have had enemy ties toward eachother for more than 40 years with the start of Americas embargo on Cuba. The embargo at first crippled Cubas agriculture and tourism section of their economy which was a very large part. In the video a man said that " Somehow we got through it...we put our shoulders together and worked through it." Cuba has worked through it, but it's forces are now ruins of a threat to the US. We should keep the embargo for another extent of time until their dictatorship has crumbled. Keep the embargo.
The U.S. embargo on Cuba should be lifted. If we lift the ban slowly and not all at once then the U.S. can gain money and other needed goods from Cuba. Also American people will be able to travel back and forth to Cuba and America. By lifting the embargo, America will be able to gain money and other necessities from Cuba. For example, in the article it says, “U.S. businesses stand to gain financially from expanded trade with Cuba.” This shows that America can benefit financially from trading with Cuba. With our economy we could use all the help we can get. Also, people who want to travel to Cuba can only go once or twice a year. However many people are getting to Cuba through other countries. For example, a person can go to Canada and fly to Cuba because they have no bans. The U.S. should lift the embargo on Cuba because we can benefit financially and personally.
