Globalization is Americanization. It is because most large companies around the world originate from America. Some of those companies are DELL, HP, Apple, McDonalds, Microsoft, IBM, and Burger King. They are nearly everywhere, there really is no way of escaping them. It is easy to see that America is the biggest influence in the world, whether the rest of the world says that or not.
I feel that globalization is different from americaniztion. I feel like what we learned today was that a lot of people don't like what us americans do Young B.
I do not think that Globalization and Americanization are the same thing. Globalization, to me is the act of taking a tradition, concept, or goods, and applying little to no editing on the principles and concept. So, for example, one could say that Windows operating systems are globalized because the only difference is that the language is appropriately altered to cater to the area's language. On the other hand, like stated in the article, the holiday known as Christmas was Americanized because several legends were created for children so that toys of the legends could be sold, christianity was put into play when it was said that baby Jesus had involvement in the holiday, and the tradition of buying expensive gifts was added into play. I see Globalization as doing just what is needed, while Americanization, I feel, takes something and completely alters it to cater to the American, and eventually all other, markets.
In a way globalization is the same as Americanization. its almost the same because they both involve huge american companies or products to be spread across the world. Like McDonalds, it was the icon for America. But now you can find a McDonalds just about anywhere on the globe. Other companies like Dell, IBM, Mcdonalds, Burger king, etc are everywhere. Globalization is an idea or product spread across the globe. Americaniation is an American product or way of lifestyle to be taken in by other countries as their own- kenny

I believe that gloablization is not the same as americanization. They might have some similarities but they aren't the same.
