The U.S should be scared for the rise of the rest. For the last century it has been at the top of the world. The playing field has been leveled and Americans don't have it easy anymore. The studies show that americans arent taking their studies seriously between china and India there were 950,000 engineers and in the U.S there were only 70,000 people. So the U.S faces threat for the top country in the world.
I think that America should worry because if other countrys find out that America is not on top know more they are going too try and attack America. They also may think that America is getting weaker. ADAM.F
I think that the Americans in the United States who loved to flaunt their superiority over other countries about how much better America is should be the ones who are worried, because they will not take the power shift well because of they will be FORCED to learn some humility. To me, however, flaunting the power that the United States had is wrong in the first place, so it was well deserved. I also think that to complain about the rise of the rest is selfish, considering that America had it's time in the spotlight of society, which allowed it time to build up it's standard of living that most Americans get to enjoy, while in 1981, 40% of people across the rest of the countries were living on $1 or less a day. But now that the United States was dethroned, allowing other nations to rise from the poverty and hunger into a stable economy, the share of people living on $1 or less a day is projected to drop to 12% by 2015. So, in my opinion, Americans should be glad that there is a bright side to the troubles we have been facing; we are allowing the rest of the world to catch up, and eventually, even out for a far more balanced society.

Yes America should be worried about the rise of the rest because. America will no longer be on top. americans will have to now compete with people from other countries for jobs. some of these countries wont have to depend on America anymore and this means that they will start to buy less products from us.

Not really the United States as a whole, but individual Americans should be afraid of the "rise of the rest" because as other countries get developed and advanced, and outsourcing becomes more and more popular we are not just competing against ourselves and felow Americans anymore we are competing with people from other countries for jobs. -Will

No, the United States should not be worried about the "rise of the rest" because everyone should be equal, have their own independence. So no one country depends on another.
I believe that united states should be scared of all the other countries riseing. The studies show that america really isnt takeing things seriously and that they are slowly going to crash their economy. If people start to realize what is happening than maybe they can do something about it.
