The animals were happy even though their work was hard because they were working for themselves, not the humans. The peasants in Russia probably felt the same way. I wonder if they ever realize they really aren't working for themselves. Now they are working for Napoleon.

Ch 6:
The animals were happy because they were getting more than they were getting with Mr.Jones in authority. Their work wasn't being cartened off. They also still had a large supply of food. Not a scarce one like before.

The anima;s were still happy working because it was for themselves and not for the humans. The conditions have become much harder because the animals have to work much more and they are being fed less. When it came to winter time and the animals were being forced to work exteme amounts and were starving, it definately connected back to the Russian Revolution. Animals were even being slaughtered for not believing what Napoleon did. That definately happened in Russia. The book is really starting to connect a lot more to Russia now.

Shanice-Chapter 7 [Nia&&Kyana]
Animal farm has changed in various ways. Such as they no longer singing the Beast Of New England song, but a new one that another pig made up. Also, animals are dying. Whereas before animals were not dying. They are dying at the hands of one another because they do not want to do some of the things they were doing before for the worst. The rebellion was get rid of those tactics and now they are back. Also, the farm has changed because the leaders are using scare tactics and blaming their faults on other animals such as Snowball

The animals are being supressed now. They are being told what they can and can't do. They have to work harder and get less food. They are killed for confessing wrongdoings. Meanwhile, the pigs are treating themselves as better than the others. The sleep in the farmhouse, and are breaking pretty much all of the original seven commandments. I just hope it doesn't get any worse for the animals.

Chapter 6: The animals were happy because they were recieving more than they were getting with Mr. Jones in authority. Also they were happy even though their work was difficult because they were working for themselves, not the humans or the people who take care of them. The peasants in russia probably felt the same way, doesnt it come to your mind that they are working or started working for napolean.

Chapter 7: The animal farm has changed and has shocked me with their wrong doings. Such as they are no longer singing that song called "The Beast of England". Instead they are representing this new song, that the pigs made up. What has shocked me the most was how they are killing ewach other for confessing the wrongdoings, or they do not want to do some of the things they were doing for the worst. The farm has changed because they are using scare tatics, and blaming each other, this reminds of what snowball used to do!

Chapter 6
The animals were content because they had no grudges there and they had sacrificed alot. The work that they had done have benifited for them and people of their kind, and not theiving from humans. In spite of the hardness of their work, they wouldn't have food in Jones day, they could atleast have less. The fact that they didnt have to support the humans they would have reconized that they have made alot of failures to outweigh them. Also, having the animals doing more efficent things also have saved labour. Such as, weeding that could be done from humans.

Chapter 7
Things on the farm had changed because since the collpase of the windmills, the humans have been making up false stories again. They had been saying that the animals were getting sick and catching different kinds of diseases and were dying of famine. Also stating that they have still been doin cannolobism.

Merissa said...

{:|Chapter 6|:}

The animals were still content because they had to suffer no more than they did under Mr.Jones command. They had enough to eat and they were now able to reap the benefits that came out of their hardwork.

Merissa said...

{:|Chapter 7|:}

Napoleon is now making demands and punishing those who go against him. Napoleon is becoming cruel. He mad the radical decision to sell 300 eggs a weak, which went against what the hens wanted and what Old Major (when alive) said was cruel. He cut of the rations from the hens completely and in result 9 hens died. This reminded me of the Ukranian Genocide when Stalin cut of the rations for them, resulting in about 6-8 million deaths. Snowbll has also been forced out of the farm and outrageously blamed for the windmill's destruction by Napoleon.

Chapter 6:
The animals of the farm are happy because they are working for themsleves and not Mr. Jones. The work may be hard and difficult for aniamls considering it is human work, but they do their jobs, most of the time they do more than needed and get a sense of accomplishment from it. The animals believe they are better off working for themselves.

Safreeca said...

The animals are happier because now there woeking for themselves and getting more things than what they got from Mr. Jones. But there was a cost for nthis because they had to work much more and get fed left. These are like some of the events that happened in the russian revolution because some animals got slaughtered for not believeing in what Napolean was saying;just like how people got killed when they didnt believe in what Stalin said.

Chapter 7:
First off, the farm has changed because the animals do not sing "The beast of England" anymore. Also, the animals are being pretty much bossed around. They are being told what they can and cannot do on the farm now, also, they are getting les food than before and it being winter, this is not good. Animals are dying because they choose to rebel against Napoleon, also Napoleon is forcefully taking away food as a scare tactic so that everyone will follow his ways.

skull_king said...

I agree with my partner shan, he tends to have a great point.

SAFREECA said...

In chapter 7 things change drastically. The animals stop singing there anthem and started singing the song the pigs created. the animals are turning against each other and killing each othe. The leaders of the farm are also using scare tactics and blaming other animals for there fault.

BrittneyB said...

Yes because not only were they working for themselves instead of Jones like one of my partners Elena said but they thought that whatever they had done would benefit the future animals of animal farm. I'm sure that this is what the Russian people believed in as well when Stalin made them work harder.

This was a nice chanqe to see the animals happy and content. Even with the hard work they are proud to work for themselves and not work and toil for the "hiqher" humans. However the work has qotten harder and durinq winter the animals work harder for less and starvation is settinq in for some of the animals. But at the same time the animals have not fully qained their independence- their leader has simply become Napoleon, who seems to them better.

The animals were very happy. this is because of many reasons. Now the animals are working for themselves and not for the farmer and they are getting more out of it. Also their food supply is now large and not limited like before.

I agree that the animals are happy and that they are doing more work but they are fine with that because they are doing it for themselves.

Lexus P said...

The animals were content in spite of the hardness of their work because with this tough and hard work they were helping eachother and themselves and even though this work was so difficult for them they were doing it for the animals but not for the humans.

BrittneyB said...

Things on the farm had changed because the animals are now being told what to do, killed if they are involved in treason, and lied to. Napoleon is in a way a hypocrite because in one of the 7 Commandments it says that an animal shall not kill another animal yet he ordered those dogs to kill animals that we supposedly involved with Snowball.

Kiki said...

Kyana- Ok Shanice here is my reply to your comment

Yes, i do very much agree with you. The animals were content because they were able to make their own produce and keep it for themselves. THey didn't have to work for humans

Lexus P said...

The things on the farm that changed since the revolution that have affected the rest of the animals in negative ways. The animals are working harder but are getting less food. They are being killed for confessing bad things. Also they are not singing "The Beasts of New England" anymore but a new song that the pigs created and now the pigs are treating themselves better than others.

The animals were happy because they believed that they were better off working for themselves than working for humans. Plus, they were probably thinking about the rewards back from the windmill like heat, and other things.

[KiNG] $HAN said...

From my point of view, my partner Alejandro has a swell point because we seem to be on the same page on understanding what happpened in chapter seven. How the animals were acting differnet again

KaTrInA said...

Many things has started to change on the farm. First of all, Napoeleon is commiting murder to the hens just like the Ukrainian Holocaust. The hens would rather destroy their eggs than give it away. Also, the pigs were allowed to sleep on beds and that was against the 7 commandments. Animals started to kill one another and the animalks stopped singing the anthuem and strted singing what the pigs wrote. Weirdly, they are using scare tactics and blaming other animals sorta like America scaring Russia by bombing the Japenese.

Kyana (Nia &Shanice)

Ch. 7- The animal farm has changed because for one..everyone is not equal. Napeolan is the leader and gets all the slack. I don't even think that he does work anymore he just gives orders. For example he has his room guarded by dogs and he sleeps in a bed. One of the commandments was that animals shouldn't sleep on beds with sheets. He also doesn't ever come out of that room, only mayb for meetings and thats it. Another pig, i forgot his name i think it was squeeler, is the one delivering all the messages. This animal farm now that Napolean has takin over, i think, has lost all it's values.

Chapter 6:

Yes the animals on the farm are content despite their hardwork because they believe that all the hard work they're doing is for their own benefit, and of other animals like them.

Chapter 7:

Things on the farm have changed since the revolution because no animals don't work together and treat each other equally as they said they would. Pigs think of themselves as higher, and animals are being killed for confessing sins. all the animals are being overworked, but not getting the desreved amount of food. Since the revolution, animal farm has become total chaos and a disaster

Ana :] said...

My partners haven't made comments yet, so i'll comment on other comments...

I agree with what Safreeca said about this relating to Russian Revolution, because people in Russia were killed for not believing in what Stalin said. This also applies to Napoleon and the farm animals.

Asron is also right when he says that somke animals are choosing to rebel against Napoleon, and that Napoleon is taking away food as a scare tactic.

I agree with Rachel's statement because the animals felt better about working so hard because they knew nothing they worked for went to the humans. They were working much harder then they were before though because they did not have the tools that the humans had to make the job easier.

The farm has changed very much since the rebellion started. 1st Napolean and Snowball were in charge together. They fairly and equally treated the other animals and their main goal was to get rid of all humans that repressed them. Now with only Napolean in charge the farm is starving and they are going back to the old human like ways by stealing the chickens eggs etc. Lastly, Napolean has put out an APB on Snowball saying that he has been working with Mr.Jones from the beginning and to bring him to justice(kill him).

i think that the animals were happier just ebcause of the fact that they were working for themselves, or o they think. they woould rather work long hard dayys, than to serve man. many things have changed in teh animals farm like than animals arent alowed to sing there song, also it seems like napolena has officially taken control. i dont think that the animals are succesful because they still rely on the hlep of humans to get htoguht the dya. i agree with rachel b/c the book is deffinately starting to come together and i can connect back to the book, when we talk about russia

The animals were happy even though they had to work harder ont the farm because they have enough to eat and can work forthemselves not the humans who would take everything that they harvested, instead they can keep it so it can be spread throught the colony.

First of all the farm has changed in many ways. one is that now the animals are working harder and getting less food. Also, the people who rebell against Nepoleon are basically taken away and killed. And finially the animals now are told what they basically can/cannot do. All of these were basically the opposite of what they are now, most resulting in bad things for the farm.

While I was reading the chapters I realized that he animalsm were happy even though they were working very hard. They were happy because they were working for themselves and they were not being slaves. The people that lived in Russia probbably felt the same way towards the work that they were doing.

Chapter 7: (the previous was chapter 6, not 7)

Things on the farm changed because they aren't singing the song they used to sing, but a new one the pigs made up. Also animals are dying and the leader animals are using scare tactics to control the other animals and blaming them for everything that goes wrong.

Julie said...

I agree with rachel. The book really is reminding me of Russia now. The animals are working for themselves instead of people. They feel much more satisfied. I don't think that they understand that Napolean is ruling over them.

Jose said...

I agree with Elena because she says that the animals are being told what to do and what not to do. So they are being like slaves and are being misstreated for what the work they are doing. Also the animals are getting less food. They are being treated like the people that are in communism where everythng is rationed

Chance said...

Chapter 6

The animals were happy because they were getting treated no worse than with Mr. Jones. They always produced enough food for everyone and were able to get more benefits out of the farm when they did the work.

Chapter 7

I believe that the farm has changed. I think this because the animals are being bossed around. They are being told what to do on the farm and how to do it, they are supplying smaller amounts of produce. Animals are loosing lives because they are choosing to rebel against Napoleon. He is also reducing the amount of food for the animals, thinking they will give into him.

Julie said...

This is the point where all the animals are being oppressed. They are dying and being starved. This more closely relates the the side of the Russian Revolution that I know and have learned about in this class.

The animals were satisfied with what they were doing because they were running things instead of being overuled by humans. These chapters without a doubt connect to russia, people were being slaghtered for not believing in napolean. I believe they came up with these things because they were scared of power. while the pigs overule everthing they are. disobeying there original commandments.

so to end napolean is scaring and starving the animals. so they can obey and not rebel...also things are worse because of the winter conditions

megan said...

MEGAN----- the animals were happy because they worked for not the owner but for themselves. they where also getting more than from mr brown . the farms have changed in alot of ways but one is that they no longer singing the Beast Of New England song, but a new one that another pig made up

Herbert said...

Chapter 6:

I dont think the animals are even happy at this point alot of them have left or died including snowball who was executed(i think that was unnecessary napoleon obviously just wants to take over the animal farm and create somewhat of a dictatorship. the animals no longer sing and act happy like they did at first. but on the other hand they were just happy that they had a better life now than they did with mr. jones. in my opinion this life is worse. they work 24/7 and thats all they do at least with mr. jones thats no all they did. the work theyr'e doing isnt even for their good anymore its for whoever is in control and wants the rest of the animals to do what they say like napoleon.

Herbert said...

Chapter 7:

Ok first of all this is deffinately a world where napoleon is in control he is killing them and acting like he is the boss. he uses tactics like takng the food so they have to do what he says. this is like the russian rebellion where the leader treats all the people badly and takes control. The animals have to do something about this or they could all become slaves.
