i do agree, in truth, there really is no country that is owned by one race forever....history is known to repeat itself, so its only a matter of time before a cetain race *cough hispanics cough* become the majority in america
i dont believe that the founding fathers were illegal cnsidering that in the begining no one was doing it for themselves it was england sending settlers to do all there work- kyle
Every nation is a nation f immagrants go back far enough and you will find us all. paarralells to day illegal immogration is striking us all i dont believe that the founding fathers were illegal cnsidering that in the begining no one was doing it for themselves it was england sending settlers to do all there work- kyle
"George Washington, a young colonel in the Virginia militia, instructed his land buying agents in the many ways of getting arround the law." So he was getting arround the law, and not breaking no rules. So he did right and not wrong, so he should be accused.
I think that george washington is an illegal immagrant because he came to America which at the time was the home of the indians which was kind and caring and let the new people come here to there land and the pilgrims killed them for there own selfish needs and wants. but a valid point was that laws back then weren't made back then so in a sense he wasn't an illegal immagrant.
Andrew >>> george washington wasnt doing eneything illegally because the foreigners were already there. and they were already moving across the alleghenies and into the upper ohio valley as stated in the text look it up. but it could be debated both ways. because he brought them over here and they had kids.
I agree with the author that founding fathers like George Washington were founding illegals because like George Washington says, "He was a young colonel in the Virginia militia, "instructed his land-buying agents in the many ways of getting around the law." He came up with new idea of buying land which would prevent the law. In this way he would not get caught from the law. "George Washington was not alone in acquring forbining tracts, few were as energetic in the illegal acquistion of the western land." Like Tony Soprano, he threw out new yorkers out then offered to sell their lots to what he hopeed would be a flood of fellow illegals from CT.
I do a agree with the author. It only brought in more and more immigrants and the began to illegally more across the to the Ohio Valley and other regions. "Immigrants from such Declasse spots as Germany and Ireland violetaed the laws and settled where they pleased." This is bad for America because if the amount of Immigrants increases then they are going to come here getting too comfortable, and as the author said, they'll come and take over and stay where they please with out any conern to the American people.

George Washington was a illegal immigrant because he broke the laws saying that he cannot go westward and take the Native Americans land. Therefore, he took the land. For instance, if a immigrant were to go out of a country without papers and ours or their government says not to makes them illegal immigrants. Doesn't it? In sum George Washington is a illegal immigrant because he traveled into land that wasn't his and couldn't go into without permission.
I do think that the founding fathers are illegal, because nobody originaly started in america, so in my opinion, they were illegal immagrants to. Just they found a way so that people thaught they weren't since they "came to america first" I don't have that much of an oppinion yet because i would like to learn more.
Well... I agree with the author that the founding fathers were illegal and illegal founding legals at that. i agree that people like George Washington are illegals to the country point blank because the native americans were first.but more over... seeing how he was from now Ohio and that Ohio was not a country back then..then that makes him an illegal immigrant. (Rikki Slappy !!)
I dont believe George Washington was a founding illegal bbecause he did not immigrate into america he migrated to different part of the country and expanded america by buying ohio. He wouldn't be accused of illegal immigration because in the article, "George(III) would be accused of softness on immigration;he kept shifting the line westward." It was not illegal anymore because George III made it legal.
- From alexis mitchell . Well yes i do agree because george washington is a immgrant and ever man who is like him is an illegal immgrant because he has illegal job's ; and thievey . geogre washington is an immgrant " No Green Card No American .
i do believe the author when he says that our founding fathers our illegal because if they snuck into another state and they wernt supposed to their illegal if they knew they werent supposed to do it why would they
I agree that the founding fathers like George Washington were illegals. Even though the law in America wasn't physically built, Americans still came in without the Native's permission. That's just the same as Mexicans today hopping the border. If they want to come to America, they should get the same opportunities as we get today because I'm 99.9% positive that our early ancestors weren't from this country. The article of handout 2 states the following,"Without their daring disregard of immigration laws, we might not be here today." I believe that the immigrants should get the same respect and chances that we were given back then from the Native Americans.
Overall, I believe that people like George Washington is not an immigrant. People who's family were from America, I believe aren't immigrants. For starters, one of the man who the author said was an immigrant was from America. The article written by, William Hogeland said, "George Washington, a young colonel in Virginia militia, instructed his land buying agents in the many ways of getting around the law." How does this make George Washington an immigrant. He was trying to buy some land from Ohio. Which was part of the land in the United States which makes him a citizen. Another instance, was when George Washington came back from war and noticed a problem with his land. The article from, William Hogeland said, "Wahington emerged from the war with his titles legal by default. But he acquired another problem: low-class illegals were squatting on his newly authent icated, highly valuable property." This doesn't make George Washington illegal. It make the people squatting on his property illegal for coming to America and sabotaging someone else's property. So these are the reasons I believe George Washington is not an illegal immigrant.
Keisha Trowers I agree with the author because George Washington took land that didnt belong to him. He didnt even ask for the land, he just took it like he owned it. A quote from the text is," George Washington, a young colonel in the Virginia militia, instructed his land-buying agents in the many ways of getting around the law." George Washington is a person also and should be treated the same way.
i agree with the author. "evry nation is a nation of immigrants go back far enough and you'll find us all, millions of potential lives, tucked in the DNA of our african mother, lucy." if you look back in the past the pilgrams came and took the natives lands known today as america. in the text it stated "gorge washington, a young colonel in the virginia militia, instructed his land-buying agents in the many ways of getting around the law" with ment that gorge was buying the lands makeing immigrants a part of america. and that is why i agree with the auther. -Janice
