the cuban revolution of 1959 is similar to the russian revolution 1917 , the reason why i belive so is because in 1959 bazar nicolas the second lost his thrown and the people came a took over and then the bolshivist came and took over and in 1977 the army generals tryed to come up with a new president by lunch time. they are also similar because in 1959 bazar nicolas the second was misleading the country as well as well as general batista because the day they where planing to look for a new leader he was gathering money and friends and prepareing to leave the country. and thats why i think the revolutionns are similar

The Cuban Revolution of 1959 was similar to the the Russian Revolution of 1917. I say this because in Dec. 31, 1958, in Havana began as a subdued New Year's Eve, a reflection of tense, unstable times. Explosions sometimes went off in theaters back then, and police trying to quash an insurrection often stopped and searched folks on the street. Both ultimately resulted from political discontentment

The cuban rebellion 50 years ago, was when many rebels who were displeased with the current government, took over the government, seized control and put their own beliefs up there. Most people, on this day avoided the rebellion by staying in. Then again, it was more for their own safety.
Question : It was similar to the russian revolution mainly because it was a rebellion, not a government event.
this is mikerra , the Cuban Revolution of 1959 and the Russian Revolution of 1917 had similar results for example, both were Lenin and Castro betrayed their respective revolutions, instituted totalitarian regimes and ruled by decree from above. The Cuban Revolution and the Russian Revolution were different because the Russian Revolution (1917) caused Discontented Peasants and the Cuban Revolution caused origins come from struggle against spanish colonialism. Both revolutionary leaders were in different countries prior to Revolution....................

The difference between the Cuban and Russian Revolution is that they both have anti enemies and were communist. Also they both had two leaders.
The Cuban Revolution and the Russian Revolution had a few similiarities and differences. Some similiarity between the two revolutions was the communist government. The difference were that the Cuban Revolution had an anti american movement where they wanted nothing to do with America. In the Russian Revolution the common people were anti king and wanted more of a liberal democracy. And when Fidel Castro became president he became part of the Soviet Union ran by Russia. Also in the Russian Revolution there was 5 year plans that tried to promote industrialization. With the Cuban Revolution they wanted to stop American businesses in Cuba.

The cuban revolution was similar to the russian revolution because they were both communist and they were both Anti - Americans meaning they didnt want us to be involed in there countries. Due to the fact that they were both Anti - American and communist became friends with the soviet union . The Russians were Anti - King and had a 5 year plan meaning ( Industrialazation ) and these weren't the things that the cubans were worry about .

I think that the cuban revolution is somewhat different than the Russian Revolution because in the Cuban revolution the rebels were lead by a major leader, Che Guevara,who dealt violently with the people he was rebelling against.The revolution in Cuba is also similar to the Russian revolution because in 1952 the Cuban president was overthrown; in Russia, Bloody Sunday caused the people to be angry with Tsar.
