Chapter 1
1. Major-majestic looking pig; Clover-stout horse; Boxer-an enormous beast(horse); Benjamin-old and wise donkey; Muriel-white goat.
2. Major was the main leader of the animals. He represented they tsar that died in Russian.
3. To die by the cruel knife.
4. Major believes that all animals will eventually rebel because Man is cruel to animals.
5. His dream reminded him of a song he knew as an infant.
Chapter 2
4. Moses was a tame raven who was disliked because he told tales and did no work.
5. June.
6. One cow broke in the door of the store-shed. Mr. and his men came in with whips and started lashing out in all directions.
7. It looked some men being on the ground being trampled by upset animals.
11. No animal shall wear clothes; no animals shall sleep in a bed; no animal shall
drink alcohol; all animals are equal.
Chapter 3
1. The pigs directed and supervised.
2. None of the animals were able to use the tools that involved standing on his hind
legs; not all of the animals were strong;

4)Moses was Mr. Jones's special pet raven. They did not like him because he told tall tales.
5)It started midday on Sunday.
Ch.3
1)The pigs directed and supervised the work that went on.
2)Almost none, they were missing some tools, but that was about it.
3)He did all of the hard work and made it seem so easy. He was just so strong.
4)Mollie was one of the exceptions to "everyone worked to their capacity".
5)Green for the fields, and the hoof&horn for the republic of the animals.
Ch.4
1)Foxwood and Pinchfield were the names of the two neighboring farms.
2)Mr. Pilkington owns Foxwood and is a nice man who enjoys outdoor sports.
3)Mr. Frederick owns Pinchfield and is a mean, shrewd sort of man.
4)Cannibalism, torture, and prostitution apparently came from defying the lays of nature.
5)Both opposing farmers were frightened of the concept of an Animal Farm.
Chapter 1
1. Clover - a cart-horse who has had 4 children
Benjamin - a donkey and the oldest animal on the farm
Boxer - a cart-horse as strong as two horses in one
Napoleon - a pig who always gets his own way
Squealer - a pig who is a brilliant talker
2. Old Major was the leader of the farm. He was very intelligent, and a good speaker. He had dreams that told him what to do and such. All of the other animals respected him greatly.
3. Old Major believes the “nature of this life of ours” is to remove Man. Man is the cause of all their problems; all of their misery. With Man they have no life... so they must get rid of Man to begin one.
4. Old Major believes that the Rebellion is coming soon. The rebellion against man. It is near because the animal's time to be set free is long overdue and they will soon have a true meaning to live life - a happy life.
5. The words come to him in a dream.
Chapter 2
1. The pigs became the leaders of the farm immediately after Old Major dies. They were smarter. and the only ones capable of leading the farm, and keeping everyone alive.
2. The Rebellion took place in June on Midsummer's Eve. It was after Mr. Jones came back from a long night of drinking.
3. Mr. Jones didn't feed the animals. They got so hungry that they broke the doors to the shed and started to help themselves to food. Mr. Jones and 4 other men came out and started whipping them - and then the animals started to fight back.
4. Snowball wrote the Seven Commandments on the wall. He was a pig - therefore he was intelligent. And out of all the pigs, he was the best at writing.
5. "Whoever goes upon two legs is an enemy"
"No animal shall wear clothes."
"No animal shall sleep in a bed"
"No animal shall kill any other animal"
These all reminded the animals of Mr. Jones - which is why it is not allowed.
Chapter 3
1. Boxer was the admiration of everyone because he woke up early to work on the farm, and he helped out anyone in need. He took on the work of 3 horses. His motto was "I will work harder!"
2. Sundays were a day of rest - there was no work. They had a ceremony where they first hoisted their flag up. Then they would have a meeting to plan for the rest of the week and to solve problems. Then they sang the song "Beasts of England" The rest of the day was just for relaxing and playing.
3. The animals who could not read learned what the pigs thought captured the entire idea of Animalism. "Four legs good, two legs bad" This still said that Man was their enemy.
4. Bluebell and Jessie's puppies were taken from them by Napoleon. He declared it his responsibility to give the young animals an education. He secluded them from everyone else... it was like they weren't even there.
5. Squealer sad the pigs needed all the apples and mil because they will keep them healthy. If the pigs are not healthy they would not be able to lead, and keep Mr jones away.
Chapter 4
1. The two farms neighboring Manor Farm are Foxwood and Pinchfield.
2. Mr. Pilkington is the easy-going owner of Foxwood Farm. He spends a lot of time fishing and hunting.
3. Mr. Fredrick is the owner of Pinchfield farm. He is very tough and shrewd, and is on a lot of peoples bad side.
4. Both Mr Pilkington and Mr. Fredrick were afraid of what was going on at Animal Farm. But they put up a front, saying they would never survive - but they were proven wrong.
5. Snowball and Boxer were given a kind of military decoration they named "Animal Hero, First Class" For the work they did on the farm, and in the Battle of Cowshed.
