In my opinion, we should definetly abolish the death penalty. No one knows where you go once you die and you for all we know can be going to a happy place that is not the best punishment for a bad crime. Life in prison is definetly torture and people who get that sentence should have reliable physical evidence against them.
We should abolish the death penalty. People can make mistakes. Why take the chance of killing an innocent person?
Well i agree with what neecie said \because..many of these people on the death row seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and therefore convicted for something that they didnt do. The death penalty should be abolished
I think that we should abolish the death penalty because its not right. Its basically saying that in some ways killing people is okay. Also, you could kill someone then later on find out that they didn't commit the crime. This is not okay because then you waste someones life. I think that if they committed the crime then they should go to jail and suffer, so they can think about what they did. I also think that it is a violation of human rights. There should be no cruel and unusual punishment. Sentencing someone with the death penalty is something like a cruel and unusual punishment.
In mu opinion, i believe dat da death penalty shouldn't be abolished, because gettin sentenced to life in prison is torture, and the courts or the law who sent them, should evidence from every part of the crime!
In my opinion the death penalty shouldnt and should be abolished people because if a person does kill someone then in my mind they dont deserve to live. but on the opposition i also believe that no person on this earth has the right to take someones life regardless of the crime/crimes that they have committed. i still have no bias to eather side.

We shouldn't abolish the death penalty because once murders know they can't get convicted with the death penalty they will start to kill more.
I think that if we don't abolish the death penalty, we should only use it for the most severe cases. Also, I think that when the death penalty is involved, it should be a federal case. The states shouldn't be able to handle the case. If the states handle the case then people can be wrongly convicted because of things such as racism.
I disagree with Carlos because some people are smug. They don't believe they can get caught. For some, the death penalty isn't a detterent at all. People don't really believe they'll get killed for killing. For them, it doesn't matter if there is a death penalty or not. Also, not all people convicted are guilty, like we saw with Walter McMillan. If we keep the death penalty, we'll keep killing innocent people.
The death penalty is a system that works to help lower crime, so i do not beleive it should be abolished. I believe that it works because if criminals see how the law is being cracked down upon by enforing the death penalty for serious crimes then less people will continue to commit felonies
iBelive that we should get rid of the death penalty because there were people who were falsely convicted of being on the death penalty when they were in it about three to twenty years until proven innocent from their DNA. Such as people who were blamed for homicides, double homicides, rapes, and robbery. It could be an accident on being blamed for and wasting time on your life for something that was mistaken for.
I believe we should abolish the death penalty because the death penalty isn't flawless. Not all evidence against a person is completely true, therefore, a mistake can be made when sentencing someone to the death penalty. I agree with Elena's comment. we shouldn't take the chance of killing an innocent person.
i believe that the death penalty should be abolished. this is because taking someones life isnt right even if they took someone elses life, 2 wrongs dont make a right. and the person that is executing the convict is doing the same thing.

We should abolish the death penalty because some people are being wrongly put to death. Sometimes there isn't enough sufficent evidence.
I feel that the death penalty should be abolished. I feel that no one has a right to take away someone life. Also, there may be a chance that an innocent is suffering and being put to death for a crime the didn't do. If the government want to keep people safe and still punish those they think are innocent then jail would be a good solution.
In my opinion I believe that the death penalty should be abolished because even though its not right for a person to kill another person but if in court you put someone on the death penalty it doesnt make you any better than the person who committed murder. Also sometimes a person who is put on the death penalty can also be innocent and can be killed by being on the death penalty for no reason but for a person who did committ murder I believe they should suffer in prison for the rest of their lives with guilt and shame for what they've done. On the other hand I agree with other peoples opinions to abolish the death penalty because people who are put on death row can be innocent but can be killed for no reason and people who committ homicide should suffer in prison for the rest of their lives.
In my opinion I beleive that the death penalty should not be abolish it is horrible but people will continue to do the crime with no real punishment this an example so no one dos it again. -kazimir
I think that we shiuldnt abolish the death penalty because of many reasons but mainly because then criminals wont really get a punishment just go to jail. its not really inhumane to give the death penalty because lethal injection is not realy painful its just quietly killing somone...i think that it also should be abolished because theres always the risk of killing an innocent person. i agree with smartguy12.
i think that the death penalty should and shouldnt be abolished because you can risk killing an innocent person. i agree with mostly what everyone said.
