1. Allow more immigrants to come here LEGALLY
2. Step up enforcement of the borders between the U.S. as well as ports and airporst with more officers.
3. Make harsher penalties for people that are involved in human trafficking..
4. Help developing countries to grow their economies so that people do not want to come to the U.S. or do not have to sell their children, etc.

-I have choosen this option because i believe that if you do help or give some type of asistance to those developing countries ; then the people would not come to the United States. Therefore ; the people would not come. they stay in their own countries and do what they would have done if in U.S.so believe that this option is better to stop human smuggling and trafficking.
the best option to stop human trafficking would be #5. In the show daughters for sale, it really hit me that people are still taking girls from the home, and nobody doing anythig about it. In the show, it was talking about how this guy named zakes who told the guy he pays off the officers to let girls in, that really upset me, and made me feel soo discusted that he could sit there and act like nothing bothers him, and he can just buy and sell girls, i really wish that he could feel the way the girls do, he lies to the families, and might even be taking girls from their own home without the family knowing, that is soo heartless, and i can not believe that people are just letting this happen, everybody says that their right on it, and trying to find a way to stop it, and yet nothing has been done, i feel really bad for those girls, no one should ever have to go through that they did.

I would say this because according to the video people would pay cops and officials to turn there eye away from the issue. I they had a special force to pay more attention to the issue there would be a dramatic change. Secondly if countries had a secondly if we had a special force we can get people already in slavery we can get people out. For instance organizations like free the slaves helped go into people who own them and get them out. In sum we should add a special force team to stop slavery.
The best way to stop human smuggling is to set up a special task force to hunt down traffickers and smugglers. Many of these smugglers don't have problems with the police. Zakes, from the video, said that he pays the police to not do anything about the trafficking. This is important because many of these police officers are corrupt and are allow the smuggling to occur. If the traffickers and smugglers are eliminated the process will be shut down. For example, in the Africa movie, there would be a middle man that would take the girls to the traffickers or smugglers. If we take away the traffickers and smugglers the middle man won't have anyone to give the girls to. So, the best way to stop human trafficking is to set up a special task force to hunt down traffickers and smugglers. This is because many officers are are corrupt and are being bribed not to take action and the middle man won't have anyone to bring the girls to.
The best and most effective way to stop smuggling in general would be to set up a special task force to hunt doown traffickers and smugglers. By hiring these task forces you can really find the people who are smuggling and get them put in jail. In a book called,Enslaved, "The Journey of an Orphan" had a haitan girl who was taken as an orphan. Micheline was a victim of institutionalized child slavery in Haiti. A quote from an article, "At 14, she was trafficked to Connecticut, where she was held as a slave by a cousin until her escape for 4 years." By having a special task force this young girl probably would have been out of slavery in a month instead of 4 years. Then there was an african girl who had to deal with smuggling also. In the same novel in chapter two it said, "When her village in Southern Sudan was raided by an Arab militia in 1987, Abuk Bak-was kidnapped and subsequently enslavedd for 10 years." She was abused so much by her owners to the point where she was knifed in the thigh. She had to suffer. By having this special force you can get these smugglers before they have a chance to take these kids and force them to do dirty work, get abused, or worse raped.
Helping developing countries seems to be the best choice in this matter. For example, the number one reason people have always come to America is something everyone wants, a better life. If we help other countries, then we can lessen the problems of immigration. More security and harsher penalties will only cost more, and money is something which is hard to come by during this day. If we help them, we could also gain a valuable ally, and the immigrations problems would lessen.

This is because people see America sees America as a strong country, full of oppurtunities. Therefore,if we help other developing countries, people would not come to the U.S. They would stay in their own countries and do what they would have done if in U.S. So I believe that this option is better to stop human smuggling and trafficking.

the better way to stop human smuggling is to higher a lot of people to hunt down traffickers and smugglers. in the video with that guy mr.williams, he was smuggling immirgents on a 18-wheeler truck and if we have special foces that prevent this, all traficking of wemon and immergrnts will be STOPPED!!! the problem i have with helping other countries develop is over time will have helped them a little bit more than we needed to and they will succeed passed the U.S. and then we will (the americans) will be wanting to go over and sneak into there country and in vise-versa.
I say the best way to stop human smuggling and trafficking is to make harsher penalties for people that are involved in human trafficking. The reason I believe this is because even though this will be much more violent, but it will send a message to anybody that tries to smuggle people or human traffic. An example is if a Mexican wants to become a U.S. citizen, then they have to go through the same process as all the other legal immigrants have. I believe it's unfair to the legal immigrants that illegal aliens just stroll in this country after they worked so hard. If they really want to come in this country, then they should prove it by working hard to become a real U.S. citizen. And people that human traffic and buy slaves should feel shameful for taking in human beings as pets. I believe that harsher penalties will make all this foolishness stop.

If there is a robust economy then the need to sell your children for money is not needed. Also if you help the country's economy, then we would see a decline in the number of immigrants coming to America. This helps the world's overall economy and gets rid of America's growing immigration problems. We should along with that add a special server that tracks down on the traffickers. If we are able to easily get information about traffickers like the man in that video we saw today, i believe that it will be a very easy and simple task to track these heartless and in-compassionate human being down.--Dapo

~the reason why i chose number 5 is because if we set up a special task to hunt down traffickers and smugglers there would be less immigrants comeing to america in the movie "crimes on the border" it showed how the smugglers would pay the officers to go through with the immigrants, the video also showed how the smugglers hid the immigrants they would put them in the trunks, they showed someone roled in a carpet etc. in the text of tyrone williams he was a smuggler and had alot of immigrants in the back of his truck 19 of the immigrants died because they did not have much air. in the documentary "daughters for sale," girls where being taken from their home, and the people who would take them would pay the officer's to let them through.with this task we can stop many smugglers that are passing these immigrants to the U.S. as well as catch the officers that are allowing the immigrants through, immigrants will risk their life to cross the border with this task we can help immigrants from loseing their life, as the people did in tyrone's case, this task can help stop people from people takeing girls from their homes. this task can help us lower the rate of human smuggler's and trafficker's.

i think that to stp smuggleing is to crack down. we could have harsher punishments for immigrants. we could get special task forces to be stationed at air ports and sea ports. also we could make a harsh punishment for corrupt officers that are bribed with sex and money. that is what i would do to stp smuggleing of illegal immigrants.
i think smuggalers should be arrested instead of just let off without getting in triuble. but then again they are trying to be nice to the mexicans

i feel that if it wernt for human smuggling the world would be a better place...there would be less curruption and there would be less crime...

A good way to get rid of smugglers is to set up a system that sees into the cars so that you wouldnt have to check everyone of them. they should also scare them with weapons or make there a very big prison sentence if you are cought smuggeling. you need to install fear into the smugglers minds so that they will stop so they dont get introuble.
I thik that we should help the devolping countries out so that there would be so much illegal immigration, I think doing this will help dramatically because immigrants come here for better paying jobs or to join a family memeber and i think if we help stabalize their economy and help the countries better themselves then we would need to worry about illegal immigration as much. thats why i think this would be the best way to limit illegal immigration.
I believe that we should enforce better security at the border. We should have background checks and tests done on people applyingg for this because there are smugglers who work as border security. I also agree with the idea that we should have harsher penalties for those who smuggle. Through this they will be less likely to smuggle.

--I picked this because if more countries do get more help & become more active then people (or the citizens) of a country will feel more than welcomed & happy in their countries. If kids have clean places to play, good food to eat, clean water to drink, well built playgrounds & great Learning systems then they will be more then happy to want to enjoy their remaining years on this earth in THEIR country. I feel that kids shouldn't be forced to prostitute or do other people's work such as cooking, cleaning, etc. Especially young children. They should live a normal life & have a great Childhood. Many children that live in United States wouldn't want to leave this country because they enjoy it. America has a lot to give because it is exciting, there are job opportunities and theres good education. If this was to Happen in other countries the kids are going to want to Stay at their home country.
I feel that having a special task force to hunt down traffickers and smugglers, would be the best solution because if we have people looking for them we could get rid of and keep immigrants out at the same time. It would also intimidate the new and up comming smugglers so they would think twice about smuggling.
