I sort of agree with the immigration bill. I feel the immigrants should get out of the country before they make babies (Bow chicka bow wow) so noone has to worry about abadoning their children that are us citizens. Also, immigrants help with small buisnesses with cheap labor. I don't feel we should pay with our taxes for their education, and they should have to pay for their children to go to school...

So I agree with the bill, if they CHANGE a lot of it, so i'm sort of on the edge.

I am kinda in the middle about this bill. It gives a chance for citizenship, but it takes so long that most immigrants wouldn't even bother trying. It mostly seems like the bill will encourage illegal immigrants to stay hidden.

I agree with the bill because by having immigrants in America it can help us in some ways. Like Senator Mel Martinez stated, "This bill has a great deal of balance in it because it enforces our borders first and foremost while ensuring America has the labor force our economy desperately needs." This bill will help America in more than one way. Also like Senator Edward Kennedy stated, "Legalization is important for our national security. We have to know who is in the United States.

I think that the bill is a good idea because it helps keep the drugs out of our country but then the u.s can make it easer for the people to come in the country so they are not tempted to come illegally.

if you ask me whether or not im a fan of the..my answer would be no. I understand that people should work in order to be an American. If you want to acheive something you have to work. However, To treat humans as if there rocks is not apart of the american. Until most illegal immigrants are official Americans, they are pretty much treated as trash..and sometimes after they have became an American they still are treated like rocks. If we seal off borders that's basiczally taking away opportunity for mexicans.. and to only seal it off for mexico is not fair. If were going to seal off borders, than we need to stop immigration in America period...because obviously we dont want better opportunity for anybody that's not American. So Racist is what i would call people who support this bill.

i agree with the points of the bill and many powerful people think the same. for instance, Bill Richardson says from the new york time "the measure placed too great a burden on immigrants- tearing apart families that wanted to settle in the United States. another point of view from senator edward kennedy says "we have to know who is in the United States. that is why i agree with the immigration bill.

I agree with the immigration bill because it would help immigrants. In the text it said," The border patrol would gradually be doubled to 28,000 agents." Immigrants shouldnt have to lie about if they are illegal immigrants or not. Also, in the text it said," It would take at least 13 years for an illegal immigrant to gain citizenship." This is why alot of immigrants dont become an citizen because it takes to long to become a citizen.

I disagree because Immigration right now it just natural we cant do alot about it. I feel it would be hard to get rid of and stop them at the same time. for example Senator Edward kennedy said "its hard to deport 3.5 million illeagls."

I do not agree with the immigration bill. This is because i believe that immigrants deserve the kind of treatment and freedom us American citizens have by living in the country. I think that they shouldn't be treated any differently. Us spending this kind of money on fences and other nessesities that the bill gives, is a waste of money from the government.

Okay, heres my second post:

It seems like a good bill overall, but more for America than immigrants. looking at it, it seems more likely that immigrants will not try to be a citizen. Mostly cuz of the long time it takes to become one. Not to mention the family reunification process will probably take longer than it would for an immigrant to do so by themselves.

I do not agree with the immgration bill because the immigration policy reform has become a major political and social issue during the past few years. The democrats and Republicans in the Senate drafted a bill that attempts to come to grips with key immigration issues. As Governer Bill Ricardson says,"He hates the bill because the measure placed too great a burden on immigrants- tearing apart the families that wanted to settle in the U.S.A."
The immigrants are affecting us in a negative way. They are ruining our society which is affecting our families. As Micheal Donahue," I am worried about being held accountable for legal status of new hires." He feels getting a $10,000 fine could be devastating to a small buisness. This is why I disagree with the immigration bill.

i agree and disagree with the immigration bill because in the text it says "it will imporve the security of our borders" i think that if they put the border it will lower the illegal immigration rate in the text it also says "employers would be requierd to pay these temporary workers the same wage they would pay americans" the bill will also help the immigrants to be payed equaly as an american.

i dont like the immigration bill because i feel that it is unfair. the conditions on the bill are unfair. for example just to get a citzenship takes 13 years. most all the rules are had an long, thats not fair.

i dont agree with the bill because people in mexico wont get to get to there family that they didnt see in along time. people in the usa would not want to be held out of a country if they didnt see there famly in a while. i dont understand why we would do it to anyone else.

I disagree with the immigration bill because its a double standard. Anyone who comes to the U.S has to go threw this big ordeal but when people from the U.S go to another country they dont have to go threw anything. Also it makes it hard on families. "The measure placed too great a burden on immigrants-tearing apart families that wanted to settle in the United States, creating permanment..."(Bill Richardson). Even though these people might become legal citizens they wont have anybody to enjoy it with.

Dishawn said...

I disagree with this bill because i feel that they should just let the immigrants go threw the border and give them a chance to get a citizenship. also because if they were the immigrant i am sure they would want a chance.

I do agree with the Bill because it is a better way. We are not only helping the immigrants that have entered the untied states, but we are helping ourselves as well by creating more work ad jobs able for the people. Moreover, as Senator Edward Kennedy stated, " Do you think that we are going to deport children- 3.5 million American children who have parents that are undocumented.?" Overall what he trying to say is that we need and should reunite the familes and keep them together ; Dont separate them. i also agree with the bill because Senator Mel Martinez stated, " The bill has a great deal of balance in it because it enforces out borders first and for most while ensuring." This means that like the bill is getting rid of the borders in order for the immigrants to be able to come into the United States. So point, blank overall ; I Do Agree With the Bill.

I Agree with the bill on immigration reform . Illegal immigrations affects national security for are country and the bill helps with that . As Sentor Mel Martinez said " This bill has a great del of balance in it because enforces our borders frist and foremost while ensuring america has the labor force our economy desperately need . " There are over 11 Millon illegal immgrations in America , deporting that many people would be bad . As Paul Krugman Said " Now the proposed immigratsionreform does the right thing in pirinciple by creating a ath to citizenship for those already here . " This bill is the best thing for the immigrations for this country .

I feel that immagrants should have the right if they come to america become and american citizen, but i also agree that they should come here the honest and right way wich is with all their pappers, and they are legal. Govoner Bill richardson read this bill and decided to oppose it claiming that "with this law, it will become a hassle with tearing immagrant families apart." a clarifacation to the quote is that some immagrants make it into the united states wether it be legal or illegal, and most of the time, they have to leave their families behind, and it can be a really tough time. Govoner Bill Richards also stated that " We need bipartisanship, but we also need legislation that is compassionate. i'm not sure that this is." But Senator Mel Martinez, feels that the bill will be a very great advantage to immagrants all over the world. " This bill has a great deal of balance in it because it enforces our borders first and foremost while ensuring america has the labor force our economy for them to come out of the shadows... This consenus bill... isnt perfect. Its the best solution we could find today" Now the senator makes a very good point, bt i would have to agree with the govoner more even though i am for both sides. I think that there is a better solution to all of this. Immagrants are just looking for a new life, to start over and to do great things in their lifetime, i think we should give them a chance, and not judge them so quickly because they came from another country.

Yes, I agree with the immigration bill. As a country we cannot separate families we should be helping the economy. According to Senator Mel Martinez "This bill has a great deal of balance in it because it enforces out borders first and foremost while ensuring america has the labor force our economy really needs." This plan helps everyone get more economy get strong to help me the supply and demand everybody need resulting in cheaper products. Immigrants are willing to work harder than the normal work because of what they went through to get the job and what will happen if they stop. This helps then support there families and we can't separate them. Senator Edward Kennedy said "Do we think we're going to deport children-3.5 million American children who have parents that are undocumented?" It is utterly impossible to stop this and if we even were able to deport so many family it would leave families devastated. Our nation is based on Christanity and one of the main points is to "do unto other that you would do unto you". In sum I agree with is immigration plan because it would unite families and help the economy.

I strongly disagree with the immigration bill and what it's about. Immigrants should be allowed to enter the United States without any laws preventing them. Because immigrants are coming here to beter their lives and get better job oppertunity. For example, in Student Reading: An overview of an immigration bill said, "the bill would require that the U.S. complete building of 370 miles of fencing and 200 miles of vehicle barriers at the U.S. Mexican borderf. The border patrol would gradually be doubled by 28,000 agents." This makes it very hard for immigrants to come here to get better jobs. Then there's the legal status of job applicants. The article said, " Under the bill, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security would create a new, foolproof system to assure that all job applicants are legal." This also is bad for immigrants becuase now they cannot find jobs if they can get to America. Overall, having an immigration bill is just the wrong thing to do.

we are for the bill because "legalization is important.""legalization is important in terms of our economic prosperity."this bill has a great deal of balance. it enforces out borders first and for the most it does it while its ensuring.people should work for what they want.its not like we doent make deals with immigrants.thats why we have the bill...border fence, penalty for employers, citizenship for illegals, guest workers, family reunification, and point system based on merit.

I agree with the immigration bill. It helps our security and helps keeps families together. According to senator Edward Kennedy, "legalization is important for our national security and for the families." This is important because we have to keep America secure so our citizens are safe. This will also help American children stay with their parents that are undocumented. Also, the bill will help America's economy and adds to America's labor force. This is important because with the increase of population we have more people to fill jobs that some Americans may not want to do. The bill is good for America because it will help our national security, economy, keep families together, and America's labor force.

I disagree with the Immigration Bill because theres really no need to build a border fence. Immigrants will still get in, and i dont believe this is a bad thing because if immigrants need a job, we should offer them one. Everybody deserves the American Dream. I'm not the only person that disagrees with this bill, Bill Richardson also thinks that this bill is to much on the immigrant.

i dont agree with the bill because the legal staus of job applicants states that if illegals are already employed that the employers will be penalized $75000.
I believe that if illegals are already hired that they should stay in their jobs. I also dont agree with the alloted time that an immigrant has to become a US citizen. THe article stated that it takes 13 years to become a citizen. Immigrants should be able to become citizens sooner. One part I do agree on though is border security. They say the wall is 370 mies and that there will be 200 miles of vehicle barriers. I agree with this because we need more security o stabalize immigration and prevent illegals.

On-Bong said...

i don't agree with the immigration bill, as the borders should just be open and we should welcome immigrants but should charge them a fee($50) to become an american citizen. if someone was to cross illegaly, then find them and give them a form to fill out to viit or become a citizen, at a fee of $100 for the extra work. the citys closest to the border could have citizenship centers, and have people working to find immigrants to help them become citizens. this would also stimulate the economy as this would add jobs, and lots of them.

I agree with the immigration bill. If your illegal then you shouldn't be here. It takes away from some americans having a job. It also would stop immigrants from transporting drug from in and out of the country. We are also helping ourselves as well by creating more jobs by having the border patrol.

(kamar)I think that the best selection to stop Human smugglers and traffickers is number 5. My reasoning is that if we put away as much smugglers and traffickers as we can there will be alot less illegal immagration. Of course there will be new smugglers and traffickers comming into the game butthat shouldnt be a problem. All detectives has to do is repeate the steps they used to stake out the older smugglers and put them in jail. This should be easy because the new smugglers are less experienced so police shouldnt have problem

i also belive in the immigration bill. people should be comming to this contry legally. i think the people in this contry should only be vsiting for a little bit or be citizens. this way if someone needes a vote everybody will no what is bad or good that is going on. finally since they are ilagall people are breaking the law so thats terrible.
