The best option is to keep your eye on the prize method. We need to sapport our countrie before other countries. As the article says "As Americans, we have no choice but to recognize the critical importance of Middle Eastern oil to economic and political stability." This proves that ever the author knew if we loose our oil connections we will go down, and we will go down hard. If the USA does not keep the war going we will loose all help from the Middle East when the taliban takes over. Also if we brought all the soldiers home from war the un-employment rate will spike. The text also say "In the face of such a threat, it should be clear tthat the flow of oil from the middle East is vital to our country and our allies have access to the reigons oil resorces" again it shows how important oil s to our country.
