Some people argue that globalization is its own process that involves technology, economic, political, social, and cultural change. However, others say that globalization is another word for Americanization.

We've all seen how American corporations, like McDonald's, are spreading across the world rapidly. It is information like this that convinces people that globalization is merely a euphemism for Americanization. But, what proponents of this idea don't realise is that just as the East is being Westernized, so will the West be Easternized if we are to truly globalize. If we become a truly mixed world, it only makes sense that we should all adopt parts of eachother's countries. Already, other, Eastern countries make the majority of our things. How is America being supplied by other countries not Easternization, but America supplying other nations with jobs Westernization. If anything, WE are being Easternized more than THEY are being Westernized.

globalization is americanization because to me, americanization is showing that america is on the top of the "world." globalization is the change that countries go through, to become americanized.like for example, in the video, India was trying to be like america. And, its getting there. people in countries are changing their lifestyles to become like americans, because they think that americans are the top notch of everyone. Globalization and Americanization are not the same things. Some things that we claim in America didn't even start here. Therefore, some countries think they're getting americanized but they're really not. Americanization is adding American culture or traditions to something. Globalization has alot to do with technology. It has to do with America but it's not all about America. It's about the whold world.

Globalization is Americanization. We are the founder of everything everyone else wants to be. Other countries want to have their own "dream", and have people go there to do what they please.
I believe that globalization does mean Americanization- but to a certain extent. All over the world, you can see American businesses and habits developing. But, ideas from other countries are also contributing to the globalization.

I think that Globalization does not equal Americanization. I think this because document A shows that Volkswagon, a German company, are being sold in all regions of the world, not just in the United States. Document F shows that that items made in Europe such as the printing press, cross bow, and gunpowder can now be found worldwide.
I believe that globalization is Americanization. In India people are becoming more like us every day. They take our jobs, eat our fast food, speak our language, and celebrate Christmas (even though they are hindi). Their middle clas is bigger than our entire population. They have come a long way ever since we started outsourcing our jobs to them.

I think that globalization is most definately americanization, because in ads in india do u see indian people in swimsuits? There are american women in american swimsuits. Mcdonalds hello. The globe is trying to be the top country as America once was.
i do think that it is not and never was Americanization. i say this for the fact that India whos middle class is highr then our ENTIRE population is doing the same stuff we are doing. they eat mcdonals and are almost done with the biggest mall in the world. they become more and more like us everyday.
Globalization IS americanization. Everyone strives to live up to America's highest standard... everyone wants to appeal to American markets, and buy American products (music and TV). Without America's standard, globalization would be completely different.

In my opinion, i believe that globalization and americanization are not the same thing. It only is it to a certain extent. Even though people say that people on that west are becoming americanized and trying 2 be us that is just part of it. Also, a lot of the things we claim we started was not by us. Globalization has to do with the economy and the widespread of technology/ development happening in the world and different cultures having an effect on them. While Americanization has to do with adding only the american culture 2 theirs nothing else.

Globalization is americanization to a certain extent. We do supply countries with jobs and technonogy, but not everything came from us. Many countries have created technology and food and they have distributed it all over the world. It's not all us but we play a big role in globaization.
