After our class today, which was a good one, I thought it might be good for you to explore some more info about the topic of MDG 6.
Please go to the MDG 6 site on the Voices of Youth Page. Check out one of the games, read one of the stories, view one of the photo journals.
Give us your reaction.
What did you read? What were your thoughts? How do you think you can get involved?

That game was really interesting it made me think about differnet things that go on in teenagers life. Also how other races then blacks, whites, and hipanics are different from any other because at one point we all go through the same thing in life. Even if we are little kids, teenagers, and grown ups.

The game that was located on the UNICEF website was well thought out, providing realistic options for the situations that your character may find him/herself in. I didn't have enough time to play through every scenario, but I did try 2 of them, and the results were not only valuable due to the fact that actual African teens may have the misconceptions about HIV that one of the females in my game did, but it also showed the trouble that a little insight avoided. It also proved one more thing: African teens feel no differently than teens anywhere about sex and diseases, but luckily we are just about FORCED to learn how to avoid and identify STDs, meaning that if African teens were given the forced education that we receive on the matter, maybe the rate of HIV/AIDs (Along with regular testings) would decrease significantly.
Young people are crucial to stopping the spread of HIV and AIDS.Because if we don't stop spreading HIV and AIDS then no one will.the game had me think about what we can do stop the spreading of HIV and AIDS.- ADAM F.
I checked out the site that you gave us. It was pretty interesting. the story that was there in the game wasnt too bad. I liked how you could pick your character and control what the kids say. I enjoyed that in my story the moral was to learn to control yourself. While playing the game i realized that no matter what country or in what situation it is, theres always drama and nonsense between youth. We can get involved by helping hospitals and medical places send medicine and aid to Africa to prevent the spread of AIDs and other diseases. - kenny cortavarria
After looking at the pictures I realize that Aids/HIV is more shown around other countries then the U.S. In these countries they had an increase in AIDs, So we should not wait for it to over grow in the U.S to start doing something.

I thought that the game was interesting because it teaches you that kids are the true cure for aids. Every infected in this generation has it for life if we learn to control ourselves HIV/AIDS will stop. That if kids get involved we will eventually be able to stop aids in the world. If we get involved with organizations we can raise some money to transport the ARV drugs to some part of the world that doesnt have
acees to them.

they should try to get acure for aids and hiv thats what the world that they live in is afected with and that i why they have so much babies dying today.
The game that we played was very fun it made me realize of things that happend all around the world with diffrent teenagers. The game was really well thought out and whoever came up with it thought of things globally and not just what happens it their country.
