Overall, I think Stain help Russia overall. I think this is because he encouraged his army. He told them to slow down, would mean falling behind. And those who fall behind are beaten. He quoted, "But we do not want to be beaten." He wanted to improve the industry including elctricity, coal, oil, pig-iron, and steel. He says, "The solution lies in enlarging the agricultural units." He wants to increase agriculture units to help the community.Stalin is one of the most controversial leaders in the world history. Between 1928-1941 he transformed the Solviet Union into a modern superpower.
stalin's impact on russia was a positive one because in most of the graphs and doccuments russia's electricty,coal,oil,pig iron and steel have increased also the buildup of the soveit unions economy over the secound 5 year plan. although are livestock were killed in the first five year plan, the secound plan brought our livestock up at a slow and steady rate.allthough are agriculture flexed through out the first and secound five year plan they were able to bring it up.

I think that Stalin helped and hurt Russia. He helped by saying; " Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas." Second, I think that he has hurt by saying; " Death is the solution to all problems. No man- no problem." Third, he has hurt by say that the people dont have a say on what goes on and that the vote counters do, " It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." Lastly, he has helped by letting the people create ther own system of living in the limitations of Russia, " Everyone imposes his own system as far as his army can reach. Those are my thoughts on why Joseph Stalin hurt ad heped Russia.
i think stalin had a good impact on russia because in document 10 there was a poster that said "long live the great Stalin" and if they wanted to have Stalin for ever than they must have thought that he was a good leader and help turn Russia around, also in another document it showed how Stalin helped to raise the wheat production in Russia which gave them more products to use. that is why i think Stalin impact on Russia was a good one
i think that stalin helped russia because stalin used the force famine as part of q political strategy. also the agriculture increased that's why i think stalin helped russia.

MICHAEL PLATT Overall Stalin hurted Russia.What Stalin tried to do was make speaches that made it look like he was trying to arouse the people when really they were suffering. In document 1 he stated,"We must make this distance in ten years.Either we do it or we shall be crushed." Stalin in this quote is trying to make it look like he's aspiring the people to do better.Another quote states," The first and second Five Year Plans strengthened the Soviets Union's economic position." Stalin's plan only helped the Soviets not the people. Overall Stalin hurted Russia.
Kamar Walker-I feel that yes overall Stain did help Russia. Because he helped bring up the agriculture in their economy. He used forced famine as a strategy wich helped Russia. But i also feel that Stain got lucky in these events because he was just too crazy. I think he just did things and it just so happened to work. I mean he killed good friends and through them in jail for nothing. Also when you look at the satistic he really didnt do alot it just seemed like that comming from the drought that Rissia was in the people believed him and honored him under depression.
In my opinion, I believe that Stalin helped Russia. The reason why I believe this is because in Document 4 it states "The soulution lies in enlarging agricultural units." Stalin wanted to enlarge the agricultural units. He wanted to help with growing crops & other stuff for the farmers to produce their things. Second, Stalin stated: "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas." Stalin didn't want them to just fight without ideas or strategies but wanted the to have them before they did.
Overall, Stalin helped Russia more than he caused damage to it. Although he is a ruthless man, he was a great motivater to his people and belieeved in them. He also deeply cared for Russia and didn't want anything to happen to his beloved country. In document 1 from class, Slatin says "To slow down would mean falling behind. And those who fall behind are beaten." These words that Stalin spoke of were only to help Russia and benefit them for the long hall. Also with Stalin constant effort to help the economy jobs were created and Russia stayed afloat. In Document 3, the graph shows how Stalin's five year plan affected the steel and coal production. In the second five year plan you see an increase in Steel even though it wasn't alot. But then you have the coal production which increased greatly. Stalin's ideas and motivations skills no doubt helped Russia. And without him where do you think Russia would have been back then?

To me I believe that Stalin didnt help Russia. I believe that he didnt help Russia because he tryed the Russians like they were not people. He didnt even let people slow down to catch their breathe or something.In document 1 it said, "Those who fall behind are beaten. But we do not want to be beaten." As u can see Russians dont want to be beaten they want to be treated with respect and they want to have time to rest. I believe that with out Stalin, Russia would have been much better.
i think that stalin helped and hurt russia. the reasion why i belived that he helped russia because he motivated people by sayin "we lag behind the advanced contries by fifty hundred years. we must make good this distance in ten years either we do or shall be crushed" and also "by 1937 the soviet union output of the USSR was 5.8 times larger then 1913." i think that he hurt russia because "today, reliable academic place the number of ukrainian victims of starvation at 4.5 million to 7n million." he also hurt russia because " they murderd collective farm activist and party and government officials sent to villages to help the peasanis they set fier to collective farm farm buildings they poisened the cattle and destroyed farm machinary." thats why i think stalin helped and hurt russia.
