There is no humane method of execution. Two wrongs don't make a right, and if the government is saying killing is so wrong, then why are they doing it? The handout even says they don't want doctors doing the injection for some reason, so there have been numerous times where something has gone wrong, and the person has suffered. Doesn't it make more sense for someone to suffer years, and years in a dark, cold hellhole with crazy people surrounding you day, after day, after day? That seems much worse than just dying. Death is the easy way out, if you really want someone to suffer, keep them in prison for the rest of their life.

What i don't believe is whether the government should be controversial over methods of execution. The criminal that is sent to deathrow will die whether it be in a humane way or not. Yes, pain would scare the criminal, but whether painful or painless he will end up dead. The government only cares about whether it's humane or not because of the public. They don't want to feel guilty about electrocuting a man or making him suffer through asphyxia. It's them, the government and the public, who are scared of ridicule. A more humane way of execution gives the 'people' a way out. They could easily defend themselves by saying, "Oh, well, they didn't suffer." But what does that matter if the man(or women) is dead. The criminal only cares what is going to happen after death, not how much it hurts. So what you should be asking is whether is it the government or the criminals who care about 'humane'?
Any type of killing is murder and does killing a murderer not make you a murderer too. The brutality of any type of murderer is wrong and should not even be tolerated by the government but look at the way things are happening today all we have done by lethal injection id made a new way to murderer a person a new torture another human in an inhumane way. I may believe that Firing Squad is the best way to die and that is because the law may make it so you can do only head shots to kill but think about the real part of it is it right to kill in the first place when this happens does this make us any better than the person we kill? ponder that question and i think you will find the answer for yourself and I say it still is not right.

I dont think there is a humane for the method of execution. In the Firing Squad it says "five shooters are armed with .30 caliber rifles loaded with single rounds." This shows me that when they kill them they want it to hurt and a slow death. I dont think this is right because if they did something that was that bad that they had to kill them they should just make them go to jail FOR LIFE. The lethal injection doesn't insure an instant death. "The lack of medical participation can be problematic..." There was an incident where a guy got the exucution and it took him 90 minutes to actually die. It is supposed to be quick and pain free. The Elecrocution is horrendous. This exucution is very messy and leaves an unpleasnant sight. The gas chamber is also a painful exuccution. Anxiety, horror, pain, eyes popping, turning purple, etc take place during this exucution. The firng squad is very painful because they die of blood loss, tearing of lungs or heart. Lastly Hanging is not promising either. "However, instantaneos death rarely occurs." If not positioned right the death will not occur.

i feel that giving people the death penalty is not needed. the U.S just needs to leave the people in jail for life if they murdered someone. Also the people usually don t no what is gonna happen to the last minute and doesn't no what they got them selves into so no for death penalty

There are hummane ways to preform a legal injection. All you have to do is make sure the deaths are quick and painless. In the video, it said that docters were there to make sure that the inmates died quick and painlessly. The video also said that the drug was given from a whole different room, so the paitents dont have to watch that. If the inmates die fast, then its hummane

In the text, Methods of Execution, it said “…a curtain is raised exposing the inmate to the witnesses in an adjoining room.” This is public humiliation that brings shame to overlap the pain of death. Also in the text it said “If the shooters miss the heart, by accident or intention, the prisoner bleeds to death slowly.” This is murder and puts doctors and nurses in a dreadful position of participating in the killing of a human being. Any execution is murder no matter how you put it. Executors are only doing the same crime as inmates and are therefore no better than them when they perform an execution. No one should be put to death because there is no real humane way of killing someone. I believe that a humane way of execution is a tough topic.I personally say there really isnt a humane way to be executed. To be executed "humanley" is without pani, and with respect. First of all, if you're condemned to death, you probably dont have much respect by the public. Secondly, from the reading, even though the methods described seem quick, the effects seem painful. For example, after a person is electricuted by an electric chair, their body defecates, the body swells and all these other disorders. The ways people could be murdered dont seem all that nice either. For example, with the fire squad, they are armed with guns and are aiming to shoot for the heart. Depending on how good of a shooter they are, it can either cause you a slow painful death or a quick one. Death by the people is inhumane and although justified in some situations, is hypocritcal.

Most prisoners, however, try to hold their breath, and some struggle." the gas chamber is yet another inhumane form of execution because of the struggle inmates go through in the chamber before they die because even though they are told to breathe deeply to speed up the process they hold their breath and struggle before they end up dieing. as stated above, their is no humane form of execution because killing a human being for their wrongs is not ethical.

They also say once done the procedure, the prisoner's weight should cause a rapid fracture-dislocation of the neck." That should just do it for them.
There is humane method of execution. People are killing each other for no reason and if they killed someone they should be executed if they did wrong. Killing is not good towards any body no matter how bad they did things.
